NEW MEXICO ONE CALL ANNOUNCES NEW
TRAINING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR AND

MARKETING AND EVENT COORDINATOR

ALBUQUERQUE –New Mexico One Call, Inc. (NMOC) recently created and filled two new positions. NMOC announces the promotion of Alicia Solorio to the Training and Quality Assurance Coordinator.  Solorio previously served NMOC as the Lead Operator and in August, she was promoted to the Training and Quality Assurance Coordinator.  In her new position, she trains new operators and runs systematic quality checks on calls made to NMOC.  This includes listening to calls and making suggestions to the operators for improvement.   Solorio also educates contractors and their assistants on the correct way to request a line spot either by calling, faxing, or through NMOC’s website.  Solorio has worked for NMOC since August of 2003.

Solorio is originally from Wichita, Kansas and worked as a Landscape Designer for several years in the Kansas City area.  She moved to New Mexico six years ago and secured a position with Wild Oats as a Bakery Supervisor.  After two years, she left that position and initially started working for NMOC so she could continue her education at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM).

She holds a BS in Agriculture with a specialization in Landscape Design from Kansas State University (KSU) and an AS with honors from CNM in Environmental Health and Safety.  While at KSU, Solorio was a member of the Rock Climbing Club, the KSU Horticulture Club, and member of the National Honors Society for Floriculture and Ornamental Horticulture, Pi Alpha Xi.  At CNM, she was a member of the Environmental Club.

NMOC also hired Jenna Jones as the Marketing and Event Coordinator. Jones previously worked for Cooney, Watson and Associates as an Account Executive.  In her new position, she is responsible for member recruitment and retention, various print material production, media relations, and event planning for several functions including NMOC’s annual meeting.

Jones has worked in both the public and private sector and held a position as an admissions advisor with Santa Fe Community College and as a Marketing Director for Vista Del Rio Retirement Community.  She also held administrative positions with PNM and CNM.

Jones holds a BA in English with a minor in Communication from Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU).  While at ENMU, she served as president of Chi Omega Fraternity, as a member of Order of Omega National Honor Society, as an ENMU Student Ambassador, and worked as a peer tutor.  She holds master level tutor certification from the College Reading and Learning Association.

NMOC is a not-for-profit organization established in 1990 to provide professional damage prevention resources for excavators and homeowners statewide.  The law requires any excavator – professional or do-it-yourselfers – to notify all underground facility owners before digging. The facilities’ spotters then go to the dig site and locate and mark all underground pipes, cables, wires, etc. so the excavator can avoid them when digging.

For more information please contact Jenna Jones at 505-254-7352.
